About DFJ

I started making jewelry shortly after discovering there were more gemstones out there than Amethyst or Sapphire.  As the collection of stones grew, the desire to create and share my work grew as well. Over time I explored working with mixed metals and began practicing lapidary.  All of my work is currently done in house in slow fashion without using premade castings or settings.

All of the items currently for sale are handmade by me in Oregon, USA. While not all of my material is recycled, I do take a forge the scraps approach for any left over silver and gold. If there are any premade parts such as necklace chains or findings, they will be noted in individual listings. I now specialize in silver and gold gemstone jewelry featuring beautiful handpicked rose cut stones, Australian opals, and cabochons.
